In recent years the rise of slow travel has encouraged us all to think of the journey as part of the holiday – something to be savoured rather than a hurdle to be overcome to get to our destination as quickly as possible. If the journey in question involves airport chaos, traffic jams or train delays that can be easier said than done.

But some journeys transcend the mundane and are about so much more than getting from A to B. Whether it’s an iconic sleeper train across Europe, a long-distance UK bus ride, a ferry pulling into a stunning Mediterranean harbour or a favourite road trip, we’d love to hear about your favourite journey.
