The best entries from this week's readers' travel tips competition (there's a two-person Jack Wolfskin tent for the best one) will help make up next Saturday's special issue on 100 great things to do with the kids in the school holidays.
We are looking for UK stop-offs that will make the journey not just bearable, but enjoyable for families. Think green spaces, child-friendly attractions, lovely cafes and picnic spots to take a breather from the holiday traffic.
As you've noticed, we're changing things a little while the Been there website has a bit of a revamp and we'd like you to share your tips via GuardianWitness. All you have to do is click on the blue 'contribute' button. If you're sending text only, make sure you choose the text tab. (It's fine to send a photo with your tip if you'd prefer – but it's the tips we'll be judging!)
- GuardianWitness is the home of user-generated content on the Guardian. Contribute your video, pictures and stories, and browse news, reviews and creations submitted by others. Posts will be reviewed prior to publication on GuardianWitness, and the best pieces will feature on the Guardian site.
Don't forget to read the terms and conditions before you enter.
The competition closes 3 July 2013 at 11.59pm BST.
