Been there readers’ tips competition: European beach cafes

There's nothing better than sitting with your feet in the sand, sipping a cold drink, the tang of salt in the air. So where are the best beach cafes in Europe? Send in your sandy spots via GuardianWitness

This week's competition for a two-person Jack Wolfskin tent is all about those perfect places to sip a cool drink and eat some sand with your chips while listening to gentle waves lapping the shore.

Whether they are stylish, modern spaces serving proper meals or simple shacks selling tea and sandwiches, we’re looking for great places right on the beach.

Submit your tips by clicking on the blue button and using the text tab. (Send a photo with your tip if you’d prefer – but it’s the tips we’ll be judging!) Terms and conditions.

Closes Tuesday 9 July at midnight BST.
