Holidaymakers travelling from Heathrow Airport have been left without their luggage after a technical fault with the conveyor belts at Terminal 5.

It could now take several days for thousands of passengers to be reunited with their baggage after a computer error forced baggage handlers to load cases manually. On Monday, Heathrow told the BBC that the backlog of bags at T5 were at "several thousand".

A spokeswoman added: "We are very sorry for the disruption passengers have experienced and we are working round the clock with airlines to reunite passengers with their bags as quickly as possible."

Plenty of you will have experienced similar nightmares while attempting to jet off on your summer holidays. We'd like to hear some of your airport horror stories.
