Venezuela is no place for tourists
First Choice has cancelled all departures to Venezuela's Margarita Island until 15 January after the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advised against non-essential travel to the South American country. Holidaymakers already in Venezuela, which is suffering from turmoil during a national strike, are being repatriated.

Birmingham bargains
Birmingham-based low-fare airline MyTravelLite is expanding its routes to feature Amsterdam from 6 February, with one-way fares from £19.
