Free party collectives, nationwide
Dance music party collectives bypass licensing laws by getting permission to use private land for outdoor raves and by hosting "private invitation, members only" parties in disused buildings. They're still pretty underground but it's often easy to become a member, especially if you know someone. A good starting point are these websites with forums where fans of the underground dance music scene swap tip-offs.

Prohibition, London
"An evening of social and (secret) drinking pleasure" is the sell for this regular 1920s-themed night at a secret venue, not revealed until the last minute. Cocktails and "illegal" alcohol are served covertly in teacups, while showgirls, charleston dancers, gramophone DJs and roulette games provide the entertainment.
