Eurotunnel claims that the essential ingredients for Christmas are 42% cheaper in France than Britain.

The tunnel shuttle-service operator costed the six ingredients for Nigella Lawson's Christmas dinner for a family of six at £26.59 in France, compared with £56.86 on this side of the Channel.
