Handel’s Messiah in Versailles, Christmas Eve Vespers in Dresden or the Hallé in Manchester – we’d like to hear about your favourite Yuletide concerts

There’s nothing like a good carol to get you in the mood for Christmas, especially when accompanied by crisp conditions, a mince pie and a winter warmer. Carols from King’s College in Cambridge set the mood in millions of living rooms around the world on Christmas Eve. But that can’t compare with hearing a lone chorister’s voice amplified in the chapel’s vaults. Or the 100 voices of the Bach choir ringing around Cadogan Hall. In the spirit of the season, we’d like to hear about the best Christmas choral concerts you’ve experienced in the UK and Europe. If you have a relevant photo, do send it in – but it’s your words that will be judged for the competition.

Keep your tip to about 100 words

The best tip of the week, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, will win a £200 voucher to stay at a Sawday’s property – the company has more than 3,000 in the UK and Europe. The best tips will appear on the Guardian Travel website, and maybe in the paper, too.

We’re sorry, but for legal reasons you must be a UK resident to enter this competition.

The competition closes on 6 December at 9am
