It’s half-term in England and Wales from 31 May* – and kids are finally free to enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities and attractions with their friends. We want to know what you’re most looking forward to doing in the UK – besides the obvious big attractions, that is – whether it’s a family trip to the coast, a long-awaited theme park visit, or a day at a museum or gallery.

* If you’re in Scotland, tell us what you’re up to/what you did over the long weekend instead.

If you have a relevant photo, do send it in – but it’s your words that will be judged for the competition.

Keep your tip to about 100 words

The best tip of the week, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, will win a £200 voucher to stay at a Sawday’s property – the company has more than 3,000 in the UK and Europe. The best tips will appear on the Guardian Travel website, and maybe in the paper, too.
