Great Glen Way
This trail offers great scenery and a glimpse of Scotland's turbulent history, with ruins dating from the Iron Age to the Bonnie Prince Charlie-led Jacobite Rebellion. Starting at Fort William, the path passes castles, Ben Nevis and follows Loch Ness's shores. Pembrokeshire Coast Path
From Dale to St David's the coast is chock-full of flora and fauna - including atlantic grey seals. At Martin's Haven, you can take a boat ride to puffin sanctuary Skomer Island. The route continues past the golden beaches at Broad Haven and Newgale Sands and finally to Britain's smallest city, St David's. Westmoreland Way
The walk begins in the market town of Appleby, the path sweeps west and south past Ullswater, Grasmere and Windermere in a great arc through some of the finest Lake District scenery, to end at Morecambe Bay.
