The number of low-cost flights from Birmingham will double next year as MyTravelLite adds two aircraft to its fleet, to fly to six new destinations. These will include the first-ever flights from the Midlands to the Italian cities of Pisa and Rimini.
Barcelona, Murcia and Palma will have daily flights, as will Knock in north-west Ireland. Fares will start at £19 plus taxes one-way to Knock, and £29 to the other five. Flights will be launched on March 30 - in time for the Easter holidays - to Murcia, Knock, Pisa and Barcelona. Palma flights will be launched on April 10 and Rimini is introduced on May 11. Among the six existing destinations, Belfast and Amsterdam will each get an additional daily flight.
The flights went on sale this week on Mytravellite.com (0870 1564564).
