BA shutting up shop at Victoria
British Airways is closing its shop and check-in facility at London's Victoria station from 30 March as part of its move to cut costs and scale back long-haul flights from Gatwick.

Drugs warning
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is highlighting the risks to travellers who think they can get away with taking or dealing in drugs while on holiday, which - as well as a criminal record in the UK - can include life imprisonment or the death sentence in some countries.

Durrell lectures

Change of destination
Runway extension work at France's Carcassonne airport means that it will be closed until 1 April. Ryanair, which operates low-cost flights to the city, is flying passengers to Perpignan instead, about an hour and a half away. A free bus transfer will take holidaymakers between the two towns.
