A date with Brad and Angelina
The STA Travel National Student Survey of over 16,000 students has revealed that 93% of students would purchase travel online.
Students were also asked what they would do if they had an extra £2,000 and 72% said they would spend it on a round-the-world trip, whereas only 11% said they would pay off their debts.
Female students most wanted to take Brad Pitt on a round-the-world trip, while for male students Angelina Jolie was the perfect travelling companion. The survey was conducted through STA Travel branches, online and at over 150 freshers fairs nationwide between October and November 2001.

Who wants to be an au pair?
One of Britain's leading recruiters of au pairs for American families, EduCare (020-7581 7363, aifs.co.uk) has launched a new education-related programme to revive interest in working in the US after a big drop in au pair numbers since the Louise Woodward trial in 1997. Last year there were only 60 applications, compared with 1,400 in 1996.
Successful applicants this year will spend a year in the US where they will have the chance to study at a local college or university, with $1,000 worth of tuition pre-paid.
Applicants must be 18-26. They pay a fee of $825 and in return get room and board, a weekly $105 payment, flights and free medical insurance - a package worth $11,790.
